A Legacy That Changed Bespoke Tailoring
Founded in Brussels in 1938 by Otto Hertz its name an acronym for Société Commerciale Anglo Belgo Allemande et Luxembourgeoise the house revolutionized the tailoring industry in 1946 by inventing the cloth bunch book, a presentation format that remains the worldwide bespoke standard today.
Deeply intertwined with global culture, Scabal famously commissioned Salvador Dalí in 1971 to illustrate the future of menswear, and in 1972 established its historic flagship store at No. 12 Savile Row.
