Scottish & English Textile Heritage
As the flagship merchant house of a distinguished family of historic British cloth brands, Harrisons of Edinburgh represents the absolute pinnacle of Scottish and English textile heritage.
A Historic British Cloth Heritage
Tracing its lineage to early nineteenth-century Edinburgh roots, the house was formally established in 1863 when Sir George Harrison a master tailor’s former apprentice and civic leader commemorated by the historic Harrison Arch acquired the business at North Bridge. By the turn of the twentieth century, Harrisons had expanded across Europe and North America, adopting the iconic Scottish thistle emblem as its hallmark of uncompromising British weaving.
